What to do if no response after applying
If you hear nothing after applying, wait for their timeline (or about a week), confirm your application is logged, find a hiring contact when you can, send one short follow up, then focus on the next roles. Do not send daily nudges.
Confirm you actually applied
Check for a confirmation email and that the role is on your tracker with the right date. Missing logs make “ghosting” feel worse than it is.
One follow up, then wait
Draft a short status ask to the recruiter or hiring manager. Approve the send yourself. If they still stay silent, keep the door open but stop chasing that one posting.
Keep the pipeline moving
Silence on one role is normal. Your next best action is usually another strong application, not a fifth email to the same inbox.
