GuidesAfter you apply
What to do after applying for a job
After you apply, log the job, watch your inbox for updates, find a hiring contact if you hear nothing, and follow up once. Keep every step on that application so you know what is next.
Log it the same day
Save the role, company, and where you applied. If you used a posting page, clip it so the source URL stays with the record.
Without a log, replies and follow ups have nowhere to land.
Watch for replies on that job
Interview invites, rejections, and “we received your application” notes belong on the application, not buried in a general inbox folder.
When your mailbox is connected, PostApply attaches those threads to the right job.
Follow up once, on purpose
If you have heard nothing after a reasonable wait, one clear follow up is enough. Ask about timeline; do not restate your whole resume.
Draft in PostApply, edit the tone, then approve the send yourself.
